In recent months all of us have lived in a 'strange land'. Our minds have had to cope with thoughts and ideas which were not even there before and with them, new rules and regulations. There has been worry and fear, and many people claiming to know how we should act in order to stay safe.
Just like Mary we've had to juggle 'incredible news' with practical fears and worries. And we've all had to balance trusting in God who tells us not to be afraid, and to embrace that there might be good things too coming from all these changes....
One of the ‘new concepts’ for many people was the phrase ‘Black Lives Matter’ – we have seen the injustice of the killing of George Floyd and the reverberations from that in our own country and around the world. Living with Covid-19 and beginning also to think more about bringing justice, healing and freedom to black people around the world has challenged us all over the last months.

We gloss over the hard parts of the nativity like Jesus becoming a refugee,
Which prejudices in life have we become blind too?
Write down some of your prejudices, look at them closely and then rip the paper into tiny pieces and discard them as an act of moving on and letting go.
